Dr. Garth Tanner, MD

Dr. Garth B. Tanner is a board-certified Internal Medicine physician who has proudly served the Modesto community for more than 25 years. After earning his medical degree from Loma Linda University School of Medicine in 1996, he began his career with McHenry Medical Group, where he developed a reputation for providing compassionate, patient-centered care.
Driven by a desire to build lasting relationships with his patients and provide more personalized medical care, Dr. Tanner later established his own private practice in Modesto. Since then, he has become one of the area’s most respected and trusted physicians, recognized for his clinical expertise, thoughtful approach to medicine, and unwavering commitment to helping patients achieve lifelong health and wellness.
Nandeesh Veerappa, MD
We are so excited to have Dr. Veerappa as our Medical Director. He has a wealth of knowledge in the health and wellness sphere. Dr. Veerappa is a graduate of Stanislaus Family Practice Residency program in Modesto. He finished his Medical School in India, completed residency in Surgery, and did training in Surgical Oncology. He currently works at Family Healthcare in Modesto and RAN Health Services, Inc. in Gustine.
At Bright Wellness, he works behind the scenes overseeing operations, reviewing charts, policy and procedures, but will be opening up his schedule to see patients on our wellness side. In his free time, Dr. Veerappa enjoys spending time with his family and playing various sports.
Lisa Brush, NP

Skilled nurse practitioner Lisa Brush, NP, brings extensive experience in family practice as well as adult internal medicine and pediatrics to the team at Bright Wellness. Serving patients throughout Patterson, California, Lisa is knowledgeable and passionate about wellness, preventative care, and cosmetic injections.
After obtaining her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from California State University Stanislaus, Lisa worked as a registered nurse for ten years at Memorial Medical Center in Modesto, California. During that time, she gained a foundation of health care knowledge and worked in a fast-paced cardiac unit. Lisa went on to earn her Master of Science in Nursing from Georgetown University and became a family nurse practitioner in 2016.
As a family nurse practitioner, Lisa has experience working with all ages and a wide range of conditions. She is skilled in caring for children and has experience treating challenging pediatric conditions, including eating disorders, developmental delays, and special needs. Lisa also works with adults of all ages, providing care for chronically ill individuals as well as those in the advanced geriatric population.
Lisa looks forward to providing care to her community and welcomes new and existing patients to Bright Wellness.

Johanna Chavez is a dedicated MA who is excited to be part of the Bright Wellness team. Although she is new to the medical assisting profession, she brings valuable experience from working in an urgent care setting, where she developed a strong foundation in patient care, teamwork, and providing compassionate support in a fast-paced environment.
Johanna is passionate about helping patients feel comfortable, valued, and well cared for during every visit. She is committed to continuing her professional growth while supporting the Bright Wellness mission of delivering personalized, high-quality care focused on health, wellness, and prevention.
Her warm personality, enthusiasm, and genuine desire to make a positive difference make her a wonderful addition to the Bright Wellness family.
