IV Vitamin Therapy

IV Vitamin Therapy

Most people think it’s normal to feel exhausted after a day’s worth of work, and they go on just accepting it. Well, it’s NOT normal, and proper levels of important nutrients can help to ensure we don’t feel that way. Our drips are a combination of different vitamins, minerals and amino acids which are essential nutrients. All of our drips will hydrate you, replenish your nutrients and give you a great boost of energy after replenishing your B vitamins. Some drips can provide chelation, or detox/cleansing of heavy metals from your system. If you are concerned about the possibility of heavy metal or other environmental toxicities, we can provide testing for this prior to treatment.

IV Therapy Q&A

Q. How often should I have IV vitamin infusions and how long does it last?

A. This can vary based on your lifestyle and what you hope to get out of it. There are highly active individuals, such as professional athletes, that may opt for drips twice weekly when training heavily; whereas others more often choose to establish a once every 2, 4, or 6 week regimen for IV infusions. In order to maintain optimal health and symptom control, consistency is key!

Q. What if I already take vitamins by mouth or eat a clean, whole food-based diet?

A. When you take vitamins orally, they have to go through your digestive system, be broken down and then absorbed. By then, you are only getting about 20-30% of the actual dose. With IV nutrient therapy, you are guaranteed 100% absorption into the bloodstream, so your body is going to be able to utilize the nutrients to reach your optimum level of performance. You cannot reach this level with oral vitamins, and other health conditions many experience (such as recurrent heartburn with gastritis for one) can impair your natural ability to absorb vitamins from your foods and oral supplements. Furthermore, our soils are typically nutrient deficient and that further complicates the ability to get the proper level of nutrients from our foods.

Q. Will your body get rid of any excess nutrients it doesn’t need if I’m not very deficient in certain vitamins?

A. Yes, IV therapy delivers water-soluble vitamins, which are the same as what we get from the foods that we eat, just in higher concentrations. This means that anything the body doesn’t need, it will excrete naturally.

Q. Will I be able to sleep at night?

A. The energy you get from IV nutrient therapy is natural energy, not chemically induced energy, like from caffeine or an energy drink. It will not cause you to feel jittery. You will not experience the caffeine “crash” and it will not cause sleeplessness at night.

Q. How long does it take to start feeling the effects?

A. You’re not going to walk out feeling like superman…it’s more of a feeling of liveliness and not being so exhausted after a day’s work. Some people report feeling relaxed after the experience of sitting back and resting, reading, or watching TV while having their infusion and then gradually feel more energized by that evening or the next day.

Q. What ingredients are in your signature drips?

A. All of our nutrients are vegan and sterile for injection. They are all-natural and do not contain steroids, synthetics, placebos, or medications. Various mixes of the following nutrients are included: Magnesium Chloride, Calcium Gluconate, Thiamine HCL (Vit B1), Riboflavin (Vit B2), Pyridoxine HCL (Vit B6), Niacinamide (Vit B3), Dexpanthenol (Vit B5), Cyancobalamin, Ascorbic Acid (Vit C), Edetate Disodium (EDTA) and Glutathione. Most are preservative free with a few exceptions only because some nutrients cannot have an impact on your health without them. They are created in a 503B pharmacy, which is a type of outsourcing pharmacy facility that is heavily monitored by the FDA and requires continuous quality assurance measures. Our “skinny shot” also contains Cyancobalamin (B12), Methionine, Inositol, and Choline, whose metabolic properties aid

Q. What are the risks associated with IV Therapy?

A. IV therapy is a minimally invasive procedure with minimal risk. Examples: minor bruising around puncture site of IV catheter, inflammtion or bleeding upon removal of the catheter.

Q. How can I be assured that your staff are qualified to administer this treatment?

A. Our drips will be administered by either our Nurse Practitioner or RN, both who are Board Certified and licensed in California and have years of experience in critical care settings requiring intensive IV therapy knowledge and ability. You will have a proper medical evaluation by our Nurse Practitioner before starting therapy to ensure there is no risk with any medications or health conditions that you may have.

Q. Aside from prevention, are there any medical issues that can be treated via IV therapy?

A. Conditions that have demonstrated benefits from IV Therapy in medical research include, but are not limited to: Depression, stress, common colds/viruses, migraines, cancers (as immunotherapy boosts/aids the immune system in fighting off cancer cells), Lyme disease, immunodeficiencies, vitamin deficiencies, and heavy metal toxicities.
